About Phoenix Radio

Phoenix Radio is a school radio station that provides an hands on approach to learning. Phoenix Radio started in the heart of Bath at Culverhay School, and more recently  Bath Community Academy until closure.

During this time the school radio station won at the Sony School Radio Awards in Best Male Presenters and Best Entertainment Show categories.

Phoenix Radio also has had its fair share of notable people swing by in its studio such as Former Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg, Lizzy Yarnold, Lee Probert and Dai Greene to name a few.

Throughout its time at Bath, Phoenix Radio took part in the BBC School Radio Report, which is now called BBC Young Reporters. During this time, Students co-hosted the first ever BBC Power or Radio Festival alongside Chi Chi and Nick Grimshaw and an interview with Jeremy Vine live on BBC Radio 2 in London.

Phoenix Radio continues to grow from strength to strength with the station now in its new home in Warmley, Bristol at Digitech Studio School.

Phoenix Radio broadcasts everything from entertainment and chat shows to interviewing and is at the forefront of new music and providing a service to young people within the UK.
